Sales Assistant and Sugar Crafter

Cakes4 Fun is looking for a highly motivated team member with lots of initiative join our team.

This is a full-time position split between the the shop and the kitchen. 3 days a week you will be joining an energetic and talented team in the kitchen using techniques with sugarpaste, figure modelling, sugar flowers and chocolate. 2 days you will be assisting in the shop on the same premises.

In the kitchen the role will involve the making of both wedding cakes and novelty cakes including baking, filling and covering the cakes.

Duties in the shop will involve taking orders and helping to design novelty/celebration cakes, administration of the ordering process and liaising with the kitchen team. It will also include stock control and ordering within the shop and administration of the workshop cake decorating classes.

The successful candidate will need to be computer literate, have some experience in cake decoration and preferably some retail experience. We are looking for a creative person with good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
